From March 2nd to 5th, 2025, our postdoc researcher, Dr Luíza Cerioli, participated in the ISA 66th Annual Convention: Reconnecting International Studies in Chicago, United States. The convention gathered over 6500 scholars from approximately 85 countries worldwide from different disciplinary fields and academic backgrounds.
Dr. Cerioli co-chaired and organized two roundtables on theory development and innovations in Neoclassical Realism, one on “geography and positionally, “which focused on theories being produced outside the Global North, particularly in Latin America and the Middle East, and another roundtable on “interdisciplinarity and analytical pluralism “which discussed the many different themes and epistemological approaches from which the theory can progress, particularly issues of geopolitics, development and energy transition.
She also presented a paper at the panel “Latin American Climate Politics in Context” entitled “Latin America at a Green Crossroads: navigating the Geopolitical Landscape of Energy Transition”.
