17th EASA Biennal conference: Transformation, Hope and the Commons

Meret Jacob-Lakrimdi, our PhD student at Philipps-University Marburg, participated in the 17th biennal conference of the European Association of Social Anthropologists (EASA) that took place from 26th – 29th July at Queen’s University Belfast as a fully hybrid conference.

Meret Jacob-Lakrimdi presented her research project on Moroccan youth on the panel “Resisting Marginalization in Times of Crisis: The Politics of Gender, Race, Religion and Age in the MENA region and beyond”. The conference also counted with a keynote speaker, Professor Athena Athanasiou (University of Athens), diverse film screenings, various research labs and roundtable discussions.
