Contribution to the project
Marília’s work within the Extractivism project will focus on international climate governance and the coalitions that shape it. Her research examines how extractivism is embedded in the instruments and processes of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and how it influences the trajectory of negotiations, particularly on issues such as the energy transition, just transition, and mining; the level of ambition reflected in texts and decisions; and the formation of coalitions.
