Hajer Chakroun Ben Jelloul is a doctor of political science at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Tunis El Manar University. She is also a researcher and member of the research laboratory “Governance et développement territorial” at the University of Tunis. Her research focuses on forest resources in Tunisia, especially their protection and valorisation.

Her research focuses on forest resources in Tunisia, especially their protection and valorization.

CONTRIBUTION TO THE PROJECT

Hajer Chakroun Ben Jelloul has great experience researching rural and forest resources governance, with a particular focus on agritourism in the Maghreb. Now, during her fellowship at the Extractivism.de project, she will focus on resource management in Tunisia, exploring mainly the role of phosphate extraction, considering the actors involved in the sector as well as its impact on local populations.
