Henryk Joost es investigador doctoral en el proyecto colaborativo Extractivism en la Universidad Philipps de Marburgo. Anteriormente trabajó sobre la economía política del hidrógeno verde en Namibia y sobre las relaciones Norte-Sur en la transición energética. Estudió Ciencia Política y Geografía Humana en la Universidad Goethe de Fráncfort y en Turín.
