New Publication: Saudi Arabia (2026)

Our Senior Researcher, Dr. Luíza Cerioli, has recently published a chapter on Saudi Arabia in The Palgrave Geopolitical Atlas, part of the Palgrave Handbooks in Politics and International Relations series.

The volume is edited by Brian C. H. Fong of National Sun Yat-sen University (Kaohsiung, Taiwan) and provides an overview of the geopolitics of states and quasi-states in twenty-first-century global politics, offering a comprehensive assessment of their geopolitical positions and strategic roles.

Dr. Cerioli’s chapter examines Saudi Arabia’s rise as a regional power amid shifting multipolarity. It highlights how the Kingdom translates military, economic, and ideological resources into strategic influence while navigating multiple regional and global pressures.

You can access the chapter here.
