At the Center for Near and Middle Eastern Studies (CNMS), Department of Politics of the Near and Middle East, two externally funded part-time positions (50%) are available until 30 September 2027 within the BMFTR-funded project “Resource Extractivism in Latin America and the Maghreb.” The positions are classified at salary group E13 TV-H.
Your tasks:
- Academic work within the research consortium
- Supporting the conception and organization of workshops, colloquia, and conferences
- Coordinating the international fellowship program
- Assisting with project administration
The project offers opportunities for independent, project-related research. A supervision agreement will ensure that results can be used for your own academic qualification outside working hours. The contract is not governed by § 2 Abs. 1 WissZeitVG.
Your profile:
- Excellent university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Political Science or a related social science discipline
- Very good German and English skills (B2)
- Good French skills are desirable
- Ability to work in a team and presence in Marburg
- Interest in German and European raw materials policy
- Interest in participating in transdisciplinary theory fora within the consortium, the Merian Center MECAM, and the CNMS
