Her research focuses on environmental conflicts and social movements in the context of raw materials extraction. For current doctoral research focus on social movements in Salvador da Bahia in Brazil. She has an MA in International Studies/Peace and Conflict Research and has studies in Frankfurt am Main and Toronto.
