biografie

Dr. Bertram Lang ist Post-Doc im Projektverbund Extractivism an der Philipps-Universität Marburg. In seiner Forschung verwendet er Mixed-Methods-Ansätze zur Erforschung Chinas globaler Präsenz (Global China). Er konzentriert sich auf die Bereiche Non-Profit-Sektor, Korruption und Governance sowie Entwicklungspolitik. Im Projektverbund Extractivism erforscht er die geopolitischen Dimensionen des Extraktivismus sowie den China-Faktor in der globalen Rohstoffpolitik.

Nachdem er an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt mit einer Arbeit über die Rolle des Non-Profit-Sektors in der chinesischen Außen- und Entwicklungspolitik promoviert wurde, war Bertram 2023/2024 als Vertretungsprofessor für Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft Chinas an der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen tätig. Zuvor studierte er Internationale Beziehungen der EU am College of Europe (Brügge) sowie Politikwissenschaft an der Universität Freiburg und Sciences Po Aix-en-Provence. Zuvor war er unter anderem am Mercator Institute for China Studies in Berlin tätig. Feldforschungserfahrung sammelte er unter anderem in Festlandchina, Hong Kong und Portugal.

Dr. Bertram Lang ist Post-Doc im Projektverbund Extractivism an der Philipps-Universität Marburg.
