Dr. Bertram Lang est chercheur postdoctoral dans le projet collaboratif Extractivism à la Philipps-Université de Marburg. Dans sa recherche, il utilise des approches de méthodes mixtes pour analyser les réalités et les implications de la présence mondiale de la Chine (Global China) dans des domaines tels que la société civile mondiale, les politiques de lutte contre la corruption ainsi que les politiques de développement international. Dans le cadre du projet Extractivism, il étudie les dimensions géopolitiques de l’extractivisme ainsi que le facteur chinois dans la gouvernance globale des matières premières.
Après avoir défendu sa thèse doctorale sur le rôle de la philanthropie dans la politique étrangère et de développement chinoise à l’Université de Francfort, Bertram a passé l’année 2023-24 en tant que professeur temporaire en économie et société chinoise à l Georg-August-Université de Göttingen. Il est diplômé en relations internationales de l’UE du Collège d’Europe et en sciences politiques de Sciences Po Aix-en-Provence et de l’Université de Fribourg. Il a effectué des recherches de terrain en Chine continentale, à Hong Kong et au Portugal, et a travaillé entre autres au Mercator Institute for China Studies à Berlin.

Dr. Bertram Lang est chercheur postdoctoral dans le projet collaboratif Extractivism à la Philipps-Université de Marburg.
